The Duty Manager – Ramp Services is responsible to lead all airside operations during the shift. This senior role oversees Aircraft Turnaround, Load Control, Baggage Handling, GSE Operations, Cabin Cleaning, and Airside Transportation, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time flight operations. The incumbent is the key point of contact for all operational stakeholders and provides leadership across the airside team.


Key Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises all airside operations, including Turnaround, Load Control, Baggage Handling, GSE, Cabin Cleaning, and Airside Transportation.

• Acts as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders during the shift.

• Ensures safe and efficient deployment of manpower and equipment for all aircraft on the ground.

• Monitors real-time operations, anticipates challenges, and makes decisions to maintain on-time performance.

• Conducts investigations for operational irregularities, incidents, or delays.

• Reviews upcoming flight schedules and load factors to optimize resource planning.

• Enforces adherence to airline SOPs, IATA standards, and DGCA regulations.

• Carries out duties directed by the Ramp Manager in compliance with safety and procedural standards.


Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, or related field.

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in ground operations, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or duty manager role.

• Strong knowledge of ramp operations, aircraft turnaround, and load control.

• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.

• Certifications in Ramp Safety, Load Control, Human Factors, and Safety Management Systems preferred.

• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
